MUSIC MINISTRY

The ministry of music is an active program combining a variety of instrumentalists and vocalists who serve the parish, encouraging the full participation of the congregation in each liturgy.  Members may be any age, from 6th grade and up, with a desire to praise God in song. 

Adult Choir:  These members of the parish provide music for Mass on weekends as well as music for special celebrations during the Christmas and Easter seasons.  Contact the music minister for specific details regarding your church. 

Cantors:  These music ministers are an important part of each liturgy as they lead the congregation in song.  Because of their unique situation, music reading is strongly encouraged with practice time at home and with the organist.

Youth Choir:  Children are also encouraged to participate in the liturgies on holidays and sacramental liturgies.  Check with your church location as to a youth choir.

Instrumentalists:  These musicians are encouraged to share their talents by accompanying the music director for various liturgies.
